태백산맥의

그 골기가 

동쪽으로 밀려오는 

태평양을 맞서며 

장쾌하게 우뚝 솟아 

한반도를 지탱한다

장대하게 펼쳐진 

설악으로 간 

나의 몸은

밖으로 나온 것이 아니라

안으로 들어갔다

나의 집 안으로 

마침내 돌아갔다

The Taebaek Mountain Range,

the indomitable backbone,

standing firm against the Pacific Ocean surging towards it from the east, 

rising vast and formidable,

upholding the Korean Peninsula 

To Seorak, 

spread out in sweeping grandeur,

my body went

not out of,

but into it,

finally returning

to my own home.
